This is an image I captured on one of my morning walks along the Malecon. It is an image of a metal sculpture that was done by an Artist in Cuba and was lodged in this space temporarily. The sculpture depicts two bows one bigger than the other and one arrow which extends onto both bows-showing their feathered ends ,but no tips(points). It stirred my interest that much for me to record it with my camera and I decided to submit it as a symbolic rebellious gesture on a curated site. Some of the photographers understood my intentions but an English photographer clearly missed the point( no pun intended).
His statement of resisting the urge to take photos of statues and sculptures has sound copyright merit-but my capture was one of a sculpture in a public place and it could have been seen as a creative way of capturing a sunrise.
