Sapphire at Pigeon PointSapphire at Pigeon PointPigeon Point is a popular beach in Tobago. we visited there in 2015 May and we were at the beach in the evening. i was shooting in burst because she requested it. After, I decided not to do that again for portraits- shooting fashion on the runway, maybe.
But there is a particular reason I chose this shot to blog on.
This might be considered a poor composition because of several things that go against the rules that photographers talk about.
For example ,she is in the centre of the frame, the horizon line ,and maybe more. I would like to view your opinions.
Notwithstanding these, the simple palate in terms of colors, the position of the subject, her expression and the pink casual dress make it an excellent composition,. In fact, the way the water seemed to be flowing appears like a reverse leading line and add to the power position of the subject.
And even though this is a still shot , the subject appears to be coming forward, because logically that's her only direction she can go.
So in other words apparent motion without blurring.
