Casablanca Pan School-37Casablanca Pan School-37The late great Prime Minister from Tobago said "Streams into Rivers, Rivers into Seas......" So when I was invited to capture the experience of these youths from the Casablanca Steel Orchestra Music School last evening, although by default(because Mr Sebero told me that media houses ignored his request to report the fundraising events in the past) I was elated about his group intentions and I was more happy because I attended and still refuse to charge him my normal fee and risk fee by what the media prefer to show case about the youth of this beautiful country. What I saw last evening were some adults that are trying to keep our youths in check and allowing them to unearth the natural godgiven talents not only by playing the National instrument.bUT LEARING AND UNDERSTANDING OTHERS TOO-LIKE THIS YOUNG LADY. tHE GROUP WERE ALSO SUPPORTED BY A SENIOR MEMBER OF THE NEARBY HOLY NAME CONVENT.wHO BROUGHT A TEAM OF YOUTH FROM THE SCHOOL TO PERFORM AS PARANGDEROS You may say this kind of thing has no effect because it's too small. But remember the words of our late Prime Minister. He was talking about incemental development. I could understand why Mr Sebero is part of this venture because he was about to exit the National Housing Authority when I had just started working there.

The late great Prime Minister & President from Tobago said "Streams into Rivers, Rivers into Seas......" So when I was invited to capture the experience of these youths from the Casablanca Steel Orchestra's Music School last evening, although by default(because Mr Sebero told me that media houses ignored his request to report the fundraising events in the past) I was elated about his group intentions . I was happier that I attended and still refuse to charge him my normal fee and risk fee by what the media prefer to show case about the youth of this beautiful country. What I saw last evening were some adults that are trying to keep our youths in check and allowing them to unearth the natural  talents not only by playing the National instrument.BUT BY LEARNING AND UNDERSTANDING OTHERS TOO-LIKE THIS YOUNG LADY WHO IS ALSO A VIOLINIST. THE GROUP WERE ALSO SUPPORTED BY A SENIOR MEMBER OF THE NEARBY HOLY NAME CONVENT.WHO BROUGHT A TEAM OF YOUTH FROM THE SCHOOL TO PERFORM AS PARANGDEROS.

You may say this kind of thing has no effect because it's too small. But remember the words of our late President. He was talking about HOW THINGS INCRIMENTALLY DEVELOP  INTO BIG ONES.

If I should add ,at that time he used the metaphor as an argument to prevent further negativity in this blessed country(you may also say possibly that he was seeing his nation's future in his crystal ball and attempted to reverse it). I am not that gifted. I am only a student of life mysteries and the  miseries that followed after the great President's death(one wonders if the decisive moment was already to late- that it had already  reached close to the ocean).

Nevertheless I  believe the reverse argument might help. And these adults here ,are just trying with small drops of water in the bucket of positive changes.

I could understand why Mr Sebero is part of this venture because he was about to exit the National Housing Authority (like me he subscribes to the building block theory) when I had just started working there.

My complete story on the event will be in the gallery soon. The whole story was done in a vintage style .

In this shot I emphasized - context-the instructional board with musical notes(white), the tenor pans at camera right, her musical sheet and easel  on camera left and in the background ,the blurred image of barbed wire(symbol of the neighborhood ). Timelessness was also part of the theme.
