So this, what is seen here ,called for serious editing of a jpg image from 2014.
Hence the monochrome and vintage style.
I'll be honest here. I usually used mono and the vintage style, if not planned, to correct an error in shooting.
I should point out at the outset, that this was designed or created to be an excellent contextual shot-with the temple in the background. In many districts/villages in Trinidad the area where the dearly departed undergoes his or her last earthly rites is usually near the particular religious institution.
But you be the judge.
I attempted as much as possible to downplay or de-emphasized the two people working on the pyre ,though, for obvious reasons, even though I was granted permission to capture them.
This shot was done with my traditional, a 55-250 mm Canon lens.
Similar captures from this location were done with another telephoto lens but this image is my focus.
I call this a still life. Is it really?
